Oak Park

In the Village of Oak Park you'll find many architecturally significant homes, ranging from Victorian to Prairie style, in two historic districts.

Frank Lloyd Wright lived here from 1889 to 1909. Twenty-seven of the architect's designs survive here, including his first public building, Unity Temple.

Oak Park is the birthplace and childhood home of novelist Ernest Hemingway. An annual festival has traditionally been held to celebrate his July birthdate.
